How edits are re-translated

What happens to translations when you publish, update or delete content.

You never have to press a button to keep translations current. Changes are detected from the text itself, not from saving.

Change a page, and its changed text is redone
With Translate automatically when I publish or update on, publishing or updating a page marks any string whose source text changed as out of date, and it is translated again on the next pass.
Resaving without changing words costs nothing
Each translation is stored against a hash of its source text, so saving a page with identical words re-translates nothing.
Deleted content is removed
When we read your site and a page or post has gone, its strings are removed and reported on the Translation tab, so we never keep translating content that no longer exists.
