Word count and translation tiers

How words are counted, which tier fits your site, and what happens when a site outgrows its tier.

Every tier includes all 58 languages. The only thing that changes between tiers is how many words your site may hold.

Words are counted once, in your site's language
We count the translatable words across your pages and posts in the language the site is written in. Publishing more languages never increases the count.
Pick the smallest tier that covers the count
Standard covers sites up to 50,000 words for $19 a month, Large or complex up to 250,000 words for $59, and Shop or enterprise up to 1,000,000 words for $199.
If the site grows, move up a tier
When the site holds more words than its tier covers, the Translation tab says so and shows the new count. Move to a larger tier and we translate the rest; nothing already translated is lost.
Very large sites
A site with more than 1,000,000 words, or more than 2,000 pages and posts, is more than one translation pass covers. Contact us and we will translate it in sections rather than leave part of it in English.
