The whole site translated automatically, not a word allowance that runs out.

A WPML alternative
Zinn® Translate and WPML compared on price, automatic translation allowance, sites covered and how translation is kept up to date.

The short answer

How the pricing models differ
WPML sells a yearly licence covering a number of sites, with an allowance of AI-translated words and support and updates for a year. Zinn® Translate is a monthly subscription per site, sized by that site's word count, with machine translation of the whole site included and kept up to date as you edit.
Why site owners choose Zinn® Translate over WPML
Only the text you change is re-translated, so your translations never drift out of date.
Translated slugs, metadata, hreflang and sitemaps handled for you, with nothing to configure.
Where it may suit you better
WPML's pricing page lists a side-by-side translation editor, translation management for working with your own team of translators or translation services, and support for page builders and full site editing. If you run a translation team or a professional translation workflow, WPML is designed around that.
Where Zinn® Translate fits
If you want the whole site translated into 58 languages automatically, with metadata, slugs, hreflang and sitemaps handled and no translation workflow to manage, Zinn® Translate does that for one monthly price per site — and you can still correct any string by hand.
How to switch from WPML in three steps
Connect your site and see its word count
Connect the WordPress site in your Zinn Digital® account. Before you pay, the Translation tab counts your site's words so you know which tier fits.
Choose your languages and let it translate
Pick the languages to publish — all 58 are included. Pages, menus, SEO titles, descriptions, slugs and image alt text are translated, with hreflang and a sitemap per language.
Check, then switch WPML off
Review the translated pages and correct anything by hand. When you are happy, deactivate WPML. If its language addresses were different, redirect the old ones to the new pages so search engines follow.
Questions about switching from WPML
Do I need to pay per language like with WPML?
No. Every tier includes all 58 languages. The price is set by how many words your site has, counted once in its own language — not by how many languages you publish.
Will my translated pages still be indexed after leaving WPML?
Yes. Zinn® Translate publishes each language at its own address with translated slugs, hreflang tags and a sitemap per language. If WPML used different addresses, redirect the old ones to the new pages.
Can I correct a translation by hand?
Yes. Any string can be corrected by hand, and your correction is kept when the rest of the page is re-translated after an edit.
